Undoubtedly you’ve already found out that you’re really spoilt for choice…. Lesley & Paul’s beautiful wedding at Addingham Church & Leeming House in the Lake District

For the second time in as many weeks, we had the pleasure of joining a family for the marriage of another one of their children. We photographed Paul’s sister’s wedding a few years ago and now we were lucky enough to be asked to photograph Paul & Lesley on their special day. They chose the beautiful Addingham church near Little Salkeld for their marriage and then we followed them to Leeming House for their reception. Leeming House is one of the nicest venues around with truly stunning panoramic views of Ullswater and the surrounding mountains – it makes for some really dramatic wedding photography! We were also very lucky to be there on such a scorching hot day – it was simply stunning.

A beautiful summer wedding at the Greenhill Hotel near Carlisle with Andrew and Claire

It was nice to be asked to photograph the wedding of Claire and Andrew, as I have know Andrew’s mother for many years. She is a lovely lady and she assured them that I would do an amazing job of their wedding pictures….. no pressure there then! We started at Claires home which is a working farm with lovely views of the local countryside, before heading to the lovely local village church at Dalston, then finally we joined them at the Greenhill Hotel near Carlisle. As you can see they were certainly up for some fun on the day and it enabled us to capture lots of spontaneous moments and laughter throughout the day. I am glad to say that after the big build up Claire & Andrew were over the moon with their wedding pictures, as were their friends and family.

A wedding tale of two halves at St. Cuthbert’s Church, Carlisle and the Roundthorn in Penrith with Nicola and Simon

Nicola and Simon’s wedding really was a day of two halves. In the morning we had pouring rain and wind, then miraculously in the afternoon, the clouds parted and the rest of the day was glorious sunshine! After the ceremony, during the dounpour, we took advantage of the beautiful St. Cuthbert’s church in Carlisle and whisked Nicola and Simon away for a photo shoot in the church gallery. The results were fantastic!

Beautiful spring wedding at Hundith Hill Hall with Lisa and Craig

I’d like to kick off my blog with the lovely wedding of Lisa and Craig. They both work in the medical profession and live in New Hartley, Whitby Bay. It was April, they were married at the beautiful St. John’s Church in Hensingham and had their reception at Hundith Hill Hall with jaw dropping views of the lakeland fells just outside of Cockermouth in Cumbria. Thankfully we started a bit of a trend for this year, in that the sun shined! This was perfect for our relaxed and informal style of photography.

The church was stunning and because it was April there was a fantastic covering of daffodils in the grounds…. We couldn’t resist this one!

We left Lisa and Craig at Hundith Hill Hall to enjoy their evening and the rest of the sunshine!
