I was really looking forward to photographing the wedding of Emma & Simon and although the weather let us down, the couple and the venue certainly did not. As you can see Emma looked amazing and Simon scrubbed up pretty well too! They held their ceremony in the church within the grounds of Muncaster Castle and their reception followed in a marquee with the castle as the back drop. Unfortunately, the heavens decided to open just as Emma arrived at the church and then hardly stopped for the rest of the day, as you can see though, this never stops us from capturing stunning images. Muncaster Castle is a wonderful place for a wedding and well worth a look if you have not picked your venue yet.

Just a little apology for all the people we are having to turn down for photography next year, many of our bookings are coming in two years prior to the wedding so do your best to book early and avoid disappointment.

We are very fortunate in that we do tend to photograph some of the nicest weddings in Cumbria and the wedding of Hayley & David was certainly no exception. The combination of a lovely couple, glorious sunshine, Greystoke Castle, a Bakerwood Marquee and a helicopter, left us feeling like children in a sweet shop (as you might be able to tell)! Greystoke castle really is a wonderful venue and I love to work there, but then being able to move on to Hayley’s parent’s beautiful home in Dalston was a real treat. Hayley & David really know how to travel in style and would like to personally thank family friend Malcolm Wilson, for the use of his fantastic helicopter. We would like to thank Hayley and David for allowing us to record the story of their fantastic day.

The reception was held in a stunning Bakerwood Marquee, the staff were exceptional (as always) and the dancing continued late into the night.
