The wedding of Jess and Ian was held at St James’ Church in Carlisle, followed by The Greenhill Hotel for their reception. This is a combination of church and hotel that we really enjoy as there are so many opportunities for original and beautiful photography. As you can see we started off with Jess getting ready at home, this is always a lovely part of the day because of the excitement and emotion, it also allows us to catch some of the detail like the dress, shoes and flowers. After they were married, we took Jess & Ian away from their guests for ten minutes to take some modern posed pictures, but as is so often the case it’s the reportage natural pictures that truly capture the fun and emotion of the day.
