This was our first visit to the amazing Cartmel Priory and it certainly is a magnificent building. Hannah and Andrew really wanted their day to be as relaxed and fun as possible and it certainly was, as they and their guests shipped champagne at Hannah’s family home near Cartmel. As you can see, the couple had a wonderful marquee at the top of the garden and it was lovely to see them leading their guests up there for the wedding breakfast, with the lovely sound of the bag pipes ringing out in the early evening sun. We really enjoyed being with you on such a special day and would like to thank you again for allowing us to capture the day for you.

The attention to detail was second to none…

Hannah looked fantastic in her vintage style dress…

Andrew scrubbed up pretty well too…

After the ceremony the happy couple emerge in true military style…

We took advantage of the beautiful priory…

Hannah chose this beautiful part of the local coast line for these shots as she has fond memories of playing here as a child

Hannah had to fulfill a childhood pact, which was that she would wear wellies on her wedding day! They were no ordinary wellies however, thanks to her creative friend!

The guys looked great in their uniforms…

Hannah and her girls….

As the sun began to set, Hannah and Andrew led their guests to the marquee for their banquet …

I hope you enjoy the small selection of the 300 photos that Alexa and Liam had to choose from for their beautiful Graphi wedding album.
As Alexa owns ‘Alexa Danielle Hairdressing’ in Workington, we knew that every detail of their wedding would be perfect….. their hair would obviously be fantastic! This was certainly the case as Alexa, who was wearing a beautiful Ian Stuart Bridal gown, looked stunning. All the 9 bridesmaids wore white and it really added to the magical feel of the day.
As you can see from the banner above we loved the shots from the wedding so much that we are using them in some of our advertising material. We particularly liked the pictures in the church, and because we had recently upgraded our cameras to the latest model, Canon 5d mk2, this helped us get even better pictures in the low light conditions.

We are very fortunate in that we do tend to photograph some of the nicest weddings in Cumbria and the wedding of Hayley & David was certainly no exception. The combination of a lovely couple, glorious sunshine, Greystoke Castle, a Bakerwood Marquee and a helicopter, left us feeling like children in a sweet shop (as you might be able to tell)! Greystoke castle really is a wonderful venue and I love to work there, but then being able to move on to Hayley’s parent’s beautiful home in Dalston was a real treat. Hayley & David really know how to travel in style and would like to personally thank family friend Malcolm Wilson, for the use of his fantastic helicopter. We would like to thank Hayley and David for allowing us to record the story of their fantastic day.

The reception was held in a stunning Bakerwood Marquee, the staff were exceptional (as always) and the dancing continued late into the night.
