Although I do love the atmosphere and buzz that there is at our typical large wedding, I do for different reasons look forward to an intimate wedding with the bride, groom and just a few of their very close family and friends. Kerry and David chose the fabulous Dalston Hall near Carlisle, Cumbria for their wedding and as you can see they were married outside under their beautiful gazebo. Although we were spoilt for choice for opportunities for pictures outside I do still always love to get the couple inside for some moody atmospheric shots, as you can see Kerry and David have the usual lovely mix of natural reportage shots and modern posed photography that we are now famous for.

What is going on with the English weather… yet another stunning wedding in the sunshine! Yes it really was a fantastic day for Carole and Karl as they were married at St Mary’s church, High Hesket and then held their reception at the Inn On the Lake, Glenridding on the shore of Lake Ullswater. Both Carole and Karl work in the wedding industry and in fact Karl actually made her amazing tiara. They are also friends with Ian Stuart – Winner of the UK bridal wear designer of the year award 2010, 2007, 2006, 2005 and 2004 and he not only provided Carole with her beautiful dress, but he also made her a second dress and the bridesmaid’s dresses! Carole’s dress was amazing, really stunning and then she had the shorter version for the evening. Carole had modelled bridal wear in the past and this contributed to her being relaxed in front of the camera and allowing us to produce some stunning images. The couple picked the amazing John Penn to sing an acoustic set as they soaked up the sun and enjoyed their champagne, and as you can see Carole even sang Karl a song, she was very very brave and did a great job.
